Brief Bio:
Keith Carter is an Associate Professor at the NUS School of Computing, Director of the NUS Ripple FinTech Lab, and Co-Director of the Crystal Centre, a FinTech think-tank that prepares candidates with skillsets in innovative thinking and data-driven decision-making. He’s the author of the Amazon bestseller, “Actionable Intelligence: A Guide to Delivering Business Results with Big Data, Fast!” published in 2014 by Wiley, New York.
He has an MBA from Cornell University and a Bachelor’s in Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Before joining NUS, he worked at Estee Lauder and Accenture. His mission is to help businesses, governments and people succeed with actionable intelligence.

Keith Carter’s mission is to “Help businesses, governments, and people succeed with Actionable Intelligence”. Keith is an Associate Professor at the NUS School of Computing, a leader of executive education, Director of the NUS FinTech Lab, Co-Director of the CRYSTAL Center, a FinTech think-tank preparing students and workforce with innovative thinking and get them ready for data driven decision making, by maturing from integrating data - to visualization - to prediction.
He has advised governments on FinTech policy, consulted to publicly listed bank presidents on operational excellence, and developed data strategies for multinationals. Keith's experience gives him a unique blend of business, academic, and entrepreneurship which results in realistic futurist views that delight audiences around the world.
He is the author of Amazon Bestseller Actionable Intelligence: A guide to delivering Business Results with Big Data, Fast! Wiley, New York 2014.
He believes, data is the new cash and cites the tremendous increase in market capitalization that data-driven companies have vs. traditional firms. He also believes we are at a time of faster job creation than ever in human history.
In his previous roles, he has worked with Accenture in the Advanced Systems Group delivering Financial Solutions, KPMG in Management Consulting as a thought leader on Data Driven Decision Making, and Estee Lauder delivering Actionable Intelligence for corporate strategy which contributed to growth in Return On Invested Capital(ROIC). Keith received his MBA from Cornell University and Bachelors in Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
